Editorial standards
The Observatory reports what companies did, at company level, from public sources. This page sets out how.
What we publish. Counts of public market events (raises, acquisitions, partnerships, expansions, restructurings, job cuts and leadership changes) by market and by theme, and short articles built on those counts. Every page states its window and when it was last updated.
Where it comes from. Public sources only: company announcements, regulatory filings, trade and national press, professional bodies and newswires. Each event links to its source. An event is counted once, on the date it happened, not the date we found it.
What every claim carries. Every generated statement carries a count, a named company or a dated event, with its source linked. A sentence without one does not run, unless it is the editor's line.
No forecasts. We describe where demand has landed. We do not say what a market will do. The editor's line may offer a view, and it is labelled as JT's.
Quotes. Quotations are verbatim from a public source, and linked. Nothing is paraphrased inside quotation marks.
When there is no data. If a window holds no events, the page says so. We do not fill a gap with an estimate.
What never appears. No private individual is profiled. No customer's own records, relationships or messages appear on any page. A person is named only where a public source names them in an event, on that company's page, as the source states it.
Who edits. Published by the Autonodal Observatory newsroom. JT, Editor. Generated text passes automatic checks before it publishes: data anchors, no forecasts, quotes and length. The editor's line is written or approved by JT.
